Dear Backers,
We wanted to provide you with a quick update regarding our progress on the survey setup in BackerKit. While we've been diligently working on it this week, we've encountered a few unexpected challenges along the way.
Regrettably, we've identified several bugs within BackerKit that are hindering the approval process for our survey. However, we haven't let this deter us. We've already reached out to our contacts at BackerKit, seeking their assistance in resolving these issues and expediting the approval of our survey.
Initially, we had aimed to have the surveys ready to send out by the 10th. Unfortunately, due to these setbacks, we're still in the process of resolving the issue and we're actively working to rectify the situation. We're hopeful that it will be resolved this upcoming week.
We genuinely appreciate your patience and understanding throughout this process.

Steamboat & Gaucho's Arcana Production and Survey Updates

Dear Backers,
The design phase for both Steamboat Arcana and Gaucho's Arcana decks, including standard and mini versions, is complete and ready for printing. The companion guidebooks are in the final stages of proofreading and will be finished by next week.
We're also making progress on stretch goals, revising the divination coin and developing the tarot journal and bookmark. These are shaping up nicely and we’re excited to share them with you soon.
Backer surveys will be sent out around April 10th. Through these, you'll select your decks, case, and shipping preferences. For our international backers, we're offering options for shipping from China or the US, with details on speed and trackability. The surveys will also allow you to add extra items to your pledge.

Greetings from the entire team! As we move forward with enthusiasm and dedication, we're delighted to bring you the latest update on Steamboat Arcana 1928 and the Gallopin’ Gaucho. Your unwavering support has been instrumental in reaching each milestone, and we're thrilled to share our progress and what lies ahead.
Finalizing Artwork & Production Steps:
Post-Chinese New Year, our team has been all hands on deck, getting printer quotations and diving deep into the production details. We've reached significant milestones with the artwork for Steamboat Arcana 1928 and the Gallopin’ Gaucho finalized and currently in pre-press, readying for print. Jenn, our production designer, is meticulously crafting the tarot guidebooks and will soon tackle the tarot journal design. She should have everything finalized in about three weeks.
Stretch Goals and Additional Delights:
Our journey also includes completing the artwork for most stretch goal items. A creative sprint is underway to finalize designs for the two pins, stickers, keychain, tarot journal, and bookmark. We're also excited about the extra add-on items, like the tote bag (potentially offering two designs) and the enchanting wall tapestry, all set to add magic to your collection.

Right on Schedule:
We're on track, projecting the completion of all pending tasks within the next two to three weeks. Our commitment to transparency means you can expect bi-monthly updates, sharing insights into the artwork, production processes, and glimpses of items in various stages of development.

As we edge closer to finalizing everything for print, we're preparing to send out surveys in late April or early May. This crucial step will ensure we have all the necessary details to fulfill your rewards efficiently and accurately. The survey will cover aspects such as choosing the deck of your choice if you've opted for the single deck, confirming your shipping addresses, adding on items, and any preferences you might have regarding customizable rewards. Your feedback and responses will be invaluable in tailoring this project to your expectations and ensuring a seamless fulfillment process.

Thanks to your incredible support, 730 backers have pledged a total of $83,650 to help bring the Steamboat Arcana project to life. Your enthusiasm, feedback, and belief in our vision have turned this dream into a reality.
We embarked on this journey together with high hopes, and you've been with us every step of the way. Every milestone achieved has been a testament to the strength of our community. Although we didn't reach every stretch goal, the success we've shared has surpassed all expectations.
February is set to be a bustling month for us. Our primary focus will be on finalizing the artwork and bringing the Kickstarter stretch goal items to life. Your support has unlocked these unique rewards, and we're committed to crafting them with the utmost care and attention to detail.
Concurrently, we're diligently continuing to obtain quotes for all the items, ensuring we partner with the best suppliers to produce the quality you deserve. By the end of February, we will start preparations for printing and production.
It's important to note that the Chinese New Year, starting February 10th and spanning 15 days, is a significant period when our partners in China will be celebrating, pausing operations. This period provides us with a valuable window to finalize our preparations, ensuring that everything is ready for print and production. We see this time as an opportunity to refine our work without rushing, aligning our timeline with the reopening of our partners' facilities.
With these plans in place, we anticipate beginning the printing and production phase in March. This timeline allows us to proceed with care, ensuring that the final products not only meet but also exceed your expectations.
