Hello Backers!
We’re just 3 days away from processing payments for those who purchased add-on items for Steamboat Arcana 1928. BackerKit will be charging credit cards on July 10th, 2024. This applies only to backers who ordered add-ons such as the Steamboat Arcana tote bag, the tapestry, or extra Steamboat Arcana decks.
Please note, this charge is only for the add-on items and not for shipping costs. We will clearly communicate the shipping charges and prices once we have wrapped up the printing process and are ready to ship.
We are reviewing the samples this week, and our production designer will either approve them or request changes. Once this is done, the printer will provide us with a timeline for when printing will begin. We will have an update for you next week.

Hello Backers,
We have a brief but exciting update for you today!
The printer has sent photos of the sample decks for Steamboat Arcana 1928 and Gaucho's Arcana. These photos are snaps from the printer, and the physical samples should arrive to our production designer around July 10th.
A sample printing is an essential step in our production process. It allows us to review and assess the quality, design, and overall appearance of the decks before moving forward with the full print run. This ensures that any necessary adjustments can be made to meet our high standards and your expectations.
Once our production designer examines the samples, we will either request any needed changes or give the go-ahead for full-scale printing. After the sample decks are approved, we will receive a confirmed date for the production of all the cards.
We’ll also take better photos of the samples once they arrive and share them with you in our next update.
As it stands, we are on track for shipping to begin in August or September.

Hello Backers!
We hope this update finds you well. We're excited to share some progress and important updates regarding Steamboat Arcana 1928.
First and foremost, we’re pleased to report that approximately 87% of backers have completed the Backerkit survey. Thank you so much for your prompt responses! For those who haven't yet completed the survey, we will be reaching out individually as we get closer to shipping to ensure we have all the necessary information.
Add-ons charged on June 8th:
If you had an add-on item such as an extra deck, a tapestry or a tote bag, cards will be charged on June 8th for those items. We'll post another update in the next few days reminding everyone.
Production Update:
We are currently behind schedule for print, but we are closer to the original timeline that we had initially planned (for delivery around August or September). The delay was primarily due to finalizing details for the cards and packaging. Here’s what we’ve been working on:
Sizing for Templates: Ensuring that the templates are accurate and ready for production.
Adding Spot UV: These raised effects on the cards will enhance the tactile and visual experience.
Gold Foil Stamping: We've included luxurious gold foil stamping for the back of the Steamboat Arcana cards.
Box Sizes: Finalizing the correct box sizes so that the tarot guidebooks fit perfectly into the boxes.
This past month has been a whirlwind of activity with nonstop back-and-forth communication between myself, our production designer, and the printer. The good news is that everything has now been submitted to the printer for both the standard size decks and the mini decks, as well as both versions of the standard size deck boxes.
Next Steps:
The printer has informed us that it will take about 22 days to create a proofing sample, which will then be mailed out to us—a process that will take approximately 5 days. Once we receive and approve the printed samples, we will begin production on both the standard decks and the mini decks.
Everything has been designed for the stretch goals (But, we're still putting the final touches on the Tarot Journal), and we're waiting for the samples to be approved. We're now closer to our original schedule, with an expected delivery in August or September.
We appreciate your continued patience and support as we finalize these details. We’re committed to delivering a high-quality product that exceeds your expectations.
We'll have an update and photos to show of the sample cards hopefully by the end of June.

As of now, a whopping 78% of our backers have successfully completed the Kickstarter survey. This means that 568 backers have already ensured their preferences and details are accounted for, bringing us one step closer to bringing the Steamboat Arcana 1928 Tarot to life!
However, we still have 164 backers who are yet to complete their surveys. If you're among them, don't worry, there's still time. Your input is crucial to ensure that we can fulfill your pledge exactly as you desire.

On the production front, our dedicated production designer has made significant strides. The Steamboat Arcana 1928 deck has been officially submitted to the printer. Additionally, she is poised to submit the Gaucho's Arcana deck by the week's end.
Focused attention has been given to refining details such as the boxes, Spot UV, and the captivating Gold Flake effect for the Steamboat Arcana 1928 edition's box.
Next in line, the printer will initiate a 'Sample Print Run' for the Standard Decks. This crucial step allows us to closely examine their work, ensuring a flawless printing process. Once the sample print decks arrive, our production designer will meticulously review them, signing off only when everything meets our high standards.
