Creative Updates Regarding Horace Horsecollar and Clarabelle Cow

We hope this update finds you well. We have some important revisions to share regarding our tarot decks. Due to copyright considerations, we've discovered that Horace Horsecollar and Clarabelle Cow will not be in the public domain until 2025. To ensure we fully comply with these laws, we've decided to make some creative updates to our decks.
We are replacing Horace and Clarabelle with characters that are already in the public domain. These replacements include Fanny Cottontail from Oswald the Lucky Rabbit (1927), the ostriches from Gallopin' Gaucho (1928), and the early version of Pete from the Oswald series (1927).
For cards featuring Mickey on a horse, we'll be altering the horse's appearance to avoid any resemblance to Horace. Also, on the Chariot card, which originally featured Horace, we're thinking of switching the horses to either walruses or alligators. We believe these changes will add a fresh, creative twist to our deck.
In a gesture of appreciation, we're excited to announce that in 2025, we will release the original Horace Horsecollar and Clarabelle Cow cards as a free expansion set, coinciding with their public domain status. This offer will be extended to backers of our future Kickstarter campaigns, with no additional charge.
For our U.S. backers, you can get the expansion set without buying anything for a nominal shipping fee of about $5. For our international community, we're working out a cost-effective shipping solution from China, either included with a future Kickstarter or as a separate item, ensuring that everyone can enjoy this special addition.
We're also taking steps to keep our Kickstarter page up-to-date. Each card undergoing revision will be marked 'Under Revision,' and a general note stating 'Images are subject to change' will be added. This transparency is part of our commitment to keep you fully informed and involved in the journey of creating these decks.
