We've been on a mission to create the perfect tarot deck for you, and your feedback has been the guiding star in this journey. After conducting a detailed survey, we're excited to share the insights we've gathered and the steps we're taking to bring your visions to life.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to the 95 backers who dedicated their time to completing our survey. Your thoughtful responses have illuminated a distinct preference for linen card stock, with approximately 30% of you open to various options. The majority expressed a strong inclination towards a black core, matte, micro linen finish. We recognize that linen isn’t everyone’s cup of tea and we may have a solution for those backers.
Your feedback has been a guiding force in our decisions. We're committed to creating a deck that not only meets but exceeds your expectations in aesthetics, functionality, and quality.
Introducing Your Tarot Deck’s Card Stock
Material: We've chosen 350 GSM black core playing card stock. This premium material promises durability and a high-quality feel.
Finish: A matte, micro linen finish will grace each card. This not only gives the cards a vintage and classic appearance but also enhances the tactile experience of handling them.
Edges: We’re opting for white edges for their clean, elegant look. We heard you loud and clear – many of you enjoy customizing your decks, and white edges make this easier, especially for those who use markers and ink pads.
Card Backs: We initially leaned towards a spot UV finish for the back of the cards to increase longevity. However, we're also considering the ease of shuffling, which is crucial for a smooth tarot experience. We might revise this choice to ensure the best of both worlds – durability and ease of use.
LINEN ALTERNATIVE: If you are among those who would prefer an alternative to linen, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us at [email protected]. Based on your feedback, we are considering the possibility of doing a limited run on a different stock, potentially limited to around 20 decks. This may include ordering 'sample copies' on another stock to cater to varied preferences.
Revisiting Gold Edging
Gold edging was initially on the table, but we’ve decided to move away from it due to concerns about gilding, chipping, and potential irritation. Our goal is to deliver a deck that's not only beautiful but also practical and comfortable to use.
The Case: Double the Choice!
We’re thrilled to announce that we will offer two different box options for the standard-sized decks. After sifting through your responses, we’ve chosen the following:
1. Folding Box with Magnetic Lids: A popular choice for its ease of use and elegant design. The magnetic closure ensures your deck is secure and adds a sophisticated touch.
2. Two-Part Rigid Box: Chosen for its durability and classic appeal. This sturdy option provides excellent protection for your cards and has an enduringly stylish look.
