📦 Shipping Update – Steamboat Arcana
We’re about 80% finished with shipping, and when you include production and preparation, the campaign is 95% complete. ✨📦
In the next few weeks, we’ll be working with BackerKit to charge remaining shipping fees — including two-mini-deck orders, double deck tiers, and a handful of orders still in the queue.
We’re aiming to be fully wrapped up by June 20th, including all international shipments and any final follow-ups. 📬🌍

🚢✨ Steamboat Arcana Update – Shipping + What’s Coming Next ✨🚢

Hello everyone! ✨
We wanted to share where things stand and what’s coming next — including our biggest upcoming launches and a few special projects on the horizon. Here’s the full breakdown:
📦 Shipping Update – April 2025
We’re about 80% finished with shipping, and if you include production and creation, we’re around 95% done with the campaign as a whole.
So far, we’ve shipped approximately 440 out of 600 total orders. That leaves about 160 orders still to go, with a goal of fulfilling all Early Bird rewards by the end of April.
We’ve also started charging shipping (as mentioned in the campaign) for the following reward tiers for the US:
📦 Single Standard Deck – $10
📦 Single Mini Deck – $8
📦 Two Mini Decks – $10
We’ll continue with Double Deck orders next and plan to complete all charges by the end of May.
Shipping has been a bit stop-and-start. While we’re charging standard shipping rates, there are hidden fulfillment fees we’ve been covering out of pocket — often $4–$5 extra per order. So the math hasn’t always lined up, and progress has been slower as we balance those costs.
Because of this, an order marked as "paid" doesn’t always ship right away. If your shipping fee is charged in May, your package may not go out until June — but rest assured, it’s on the way.
📌 In January, we were also hit with $2,000 in surprise tariffs due to a paperwork error from the printer. It was unexpected and set us back early in the fulfillment process.
Some international orders have also been stuck in the system, but we’re aiming to ship the last of them by June 15, with delivery expected by the end of June. After that, we’ll resolve any lingering issues and make sure everyone is taken care of.
We also had to enter all order data manually, due to the way survey options were set up — which slowed things down more than we expected. We’re streamlining this for future projects.
📦 May will be a slower month as we wrap up remaining orders. We’re aiming to ship the final batch by mid-June. The decks look amazing, and we truly can’t wait for you to receive them — depending on the queue and shipping speed, your deck may arrive in June.

🐴 Coming in June – Horace Horsecollar & Clarabelle Cow Expansion
We’ve been getting a lot of questions about the Horace Horsecollar and Clarabelle Cow cards — and we’re happy to say: they’re coming! In June, we’ll be launching a small Kickstarter to offer these as expansion packs using decks from our existing print run.
This won’t be a stretch-goal campaign — just a straightforward opportunity for people who missed the original project to pick up the decks. We have about 400 standard decks and 400 mini decks of each available. The remaining inventory is already printed and ready to ship. Stretch goal items aren’t included, but the decks themselves are exactly the same.
The expansion cards are free — just pay shipping, or you can choose to have them added to your next project shipment, such as The Hundred Acre Arcana or The Aviator’s Arcana. This campaign helps us recoup production costs and build the budget for new creative projects we’re excited to bring to life. We plan to print a thousand of the expansion deck to match the original print run.

This September, we’re diving into two very different worlds with a pair of new tarot decks:
🛩️ Aviator’s Arcana 1929, based on Plane Crazy
💀 The Skeleton Dance / Haunted House Arcana 1929, a spooky Silly Symphony-style Halloween deck
Plane Crazy was the first Mickey Mouse cartoon ever animated (but not the first released) — full of wild energy, aviation chaos, and early animation charm. Aviator’s Arcana will channel that same spirit into a deck filled with momentum and vintage flair.
The Skeleton Dance and The Haunted House are Halloween classics — spooky, playful, and iconic. This deck stays faithful to the original cartoons, with dancing skeletons, haunted attics, moonlit graveyards, and mischief galore. It’s the perfect deck for the fall season, blending vintage Halloween vibes with timeless tarot archetypes.
We’ll be launching these decks while we’re still producing The Hundred Acre Arcana and Mystic Honey Pot Arcana — and we want to be upfront about that. After a year of experience and a lot of lessons learned, we feel confident in our ability to manage both timelines. We’ve streamlined our process, strengthened our team, and we’re committed to delivering quality without compromise.
📖 Coming This Fall – Steamboat Legends: A Choosable Path Adventure Book
To close out the year, we’re taking Steamboat Legends in a brand-new direction — with the launch of our first Choose Your Own Adventure-style storybook.
This fully illustrated, interactive book lets you explore the world of Steamboat Legends through branching narratives, dramatic choices, and light gameplay elements. Step into a fantasy world filled with mercenaries, minions, dragons, and old magic — where you decide what happens next.

We wanted to share a quick update regarding shipping for U.S. backers in theSingle Standard Deck and Single Mini Deck reward tiers.
We’ll be charging shipping through BackerKit for these tiers, as originally planned. The shipping rates are:
$10 for Single Standard Decks
$8 for Single Mini Decks
Our plan is to send the Backer ID numbers and shipping amounts to BackerKit by the end of this month, and for them to begin charging the shipping fees during the first week of April. Once that happens, you’ll receive an email from BackerKit confirming the charge.

Hello Backers,
We’re making steady progress! Over the past week, we sent out all US orders for the Standard Dual Adventure reward tier and took some time to catch up on messages, tidy up orders, and resolve any issues. Now, our focus has fully shifted to international shipping for all categories.
International Backers – Your Orders Are Ready to Ship!
There are about 120 international orders, and I’ll be working through them from March 14th to April 14th. Each order is being entered manually into the Fulfillrite system, and I’m emailing everyone individually with their exact shipping price once it’s ready.
- If you'd like to pay via PayPal, I can send you an invoice for the shipping amount. PayPal is faster and more convenient for us.
- If you'd rather pay through BackerKit, let me know! Once the shipping total is agreed to, BackerKit will add the amount to your account and send you an email before charging. This method takes a little longer since payments are processed in groups.
If you’re an international backer and you’d like to speed up the process, feel free to email me directly at [email protected], and I might be able to handle it even faster for you.
We’re pushing to get as many international orders shipped as possible this month, so if you’re an international backer:
