With shipping now complete for Steamboat Arcana 1928, we’re excited to follow up on something we promised from the beginning: the 1929 Expansion Pack—a special set of cards featuring Horace Horsecollar and Clarabelle Cow who just entered the public domain this year.

✨ What Is the Steamboat Arcana 1929 Expansion Pack?

When we first created the 1928 decks, we had planned to include characters like Horace Horsecollar and Clarabelle Cow. But since they weren’t in the public domain yet, we removed them before printing. Now that it’s 2025, we’re keeping our word and releasing a follow-up pack of new Major Arcana cards featuring these characters.

👉 Please note:
This expansion pack is currently only for the Standard Decks.
We sold fewer mini-decks during the original campaign, so the Mini-Deck version of the expansion pack will be offered as a stretch goal during this new campaign. If unlocked, we’ll print matching mini versions to go with the poker-sized decks.

We’ll also be offering our remaining inventory of Standard Decks (Steamboat Arcana 1928 and Gaucho’s Arcana 1928)—without stretch goal items—to avoid overproduction and keep things fair for our original backers.

📦 Final Shipping Update – Steamboat Arcana 1928 is Complete!

Hi everyone,

We’re excited to share that shipping for Steamboat Arcana 1928 is now complete! 🎉 Most decks are already in the hands of backers, with just a few still in transit.

If you haven’t received your deck, there’s a 94% chance it’s due to one of two things:

You didn’t pay for shipping (your credit card may have failed or wasn’t updated), or

You never filled out your backer survey.

At this point, it’s your responsibility to reach out. Please email me at [email protected] and we’ll help get things sorted. You can pay for shipping via PayPal, and we’ll confirm your address before sending your rewards.

🎁 Stretch Goal Items – Deadline Approaching

We printed a limited number of stretch goal items (those not part of the card decks) to keep them special and avoid overproduction. As a result:

Stretch goal items are not guaranteed after July 17th if we haven’t heard from you.

Of course, we’re nice and will do our best to accommodate you—but at this point, the Kickstarter is essentially finished and supplies are extremely limited.

Here’s the current status:

About 50 orders have unpaid postage

Roughly 20 surveys were never filled out

We’ll do one final review of international orders in late August, just in case any were missed

🔄 Batch Billing in Progress

We’re processing shipping charges manually, in small batches.

Light shipping went out in May (as we communicated) while we focused on launching The Hundred Acre Arcana—thank you for bearing with us! We're back for the last leg of Steamboat Arcana 1928 shipping. 

🗓️ Charging Schedule

Over the next 10 days, we will complete charging shipping fees for:

Single Standard Deck – $10

Single Mini Deck – $8

Two Mini Decks – $10

You’ll receive an email notification as soon as your card is charged.

🚚 Shipping Timeline

Once charged, your order will be packed and shipped immediately.

All remaining orders will be on their way by June 30th.

📦 Shipping Update – June 2025

Hi everyone,

I posted this information a few weeks ago and this is where we are currently with shipping. 

We wanted to share a quick update as we move into the final phase of fulfillment for Steamboat Arcana 1928. About 80% of all orders have shipped, and the campaign is now 95% complete, including production and packaging. 

May was always expected to be a slower month, and it has been — but we’ll be resuming fulfillment around June 10th, with a goal of shipping all remaining orders by June 20th, including any outstanding international packages.

📌 Earlier in the process, we were hit with $2,000 in unexpected tariffs due to a paperwork error from the printer. That setback — combined with the need to manually enter all order data due to survey formatting — slowed things down more than we anticipated. We're already streamlining this process for future campaigns.

📦 Shipping has also been a bit stop-and-start. While we’re charging standard shipping rates, Fulfillrite’s hidden fulfillment fees really added up — with many orders costing about $5 more than expected, even after backers paid for shipping. We’ve been covering those extra fees out of pocket, and it’s definitely slowed things down as we’ve tried to balance the costs.

Because of this, an order marked as "paid" doesn’t always ship immediately. If your shipping fee was charged in May, your order is still in the queue and will be going out after June 10th.

We’re also finishing the shipping charges stage with BackerKit over the next two weeks, focusing on:
📦 Two-Mini-Deck Orders
📦 Single Mini Decks (partially fulfilled)
📦 Single Standard Decks

These tiers are still in progress, and orders from these groups will begin shipping again after June 10th.

Some international orders have been delayed longer than expected, but we’re aiming to get the last of them out by June 15, with delivery expected by the end of the month.

Despite all the hiccups, the decks look absolutely beautiful, and we truly can’t wait for you to receive them.
